Whether you’re arriving by bus, tram, taxi or plane, getting to Garden Lane Backpackers is straightforward and hassle-free. Our central Dublin 8 location is well-connected for all travellers:
Direct airport buses: The Dublin Express (Line 783) departs from Dublin Airport Terminal 2 Zone 21 every 20 minutes and stops at Patrick Street, just a short walk from our door. The journey takes around 30–40 minutes and tickets can be purchased at the airport or online.
Tram access (LUAS): Smithfield LUAS stop on the Red Line is just a 15-minute walk away, offering local and regional connections across the city.
Train stations: Heuston Station, with services nationwide, is roughly 20 minutes on foot or a quick bus/tram ride. Connolly Station for DART and regional rail links is easy to reach by LUAS or bus.
Central bus station: Busáras, Dublin’s main bus station with routes across Ireland, is a 30-minute walk or short tram ride from the hostel.
Taxis: Reliable local taxi partners can be arranged for city or airport transfers, ask at reception for details.
